had them on my G35 before i sold it. great tire for the money. the shallower tread depth left a bit to be desired in the wet but dry rocked!

awesome! i got them from you guys! awesome price, way less expensive than everyone else, even including the shipping. is there something you would recommend over this tire say up to 125-130/each?

Great tire for the money, had them on my gs-t and then put them on the Evo once the Advans died. They dont compare to the Advans but they get the job done and they look pretty badass too.

I just bought some for my *gasp* Subaru WRX wagon (pretty much an STi by now)

I had the stock STi RE-070's before and finally wore them out on track days - what can I expect in comparison? I hope it's comparable.

Congrats on the MX's they're a great tire for the money. I really don't think there's a better bang for the buck than the MX's. Just be careful when the tires start to wear, power on oversteer becomes the norm. quite fun actually.

The RE-070's are the stock STi tire - they are 'extreme summer performance' tires. A bit heavy supposedly but very good. Lots of guys sell them when they go to 18's and smart guys like me profit.

Power oversteer - yeah I think that might be fun.

I liked the MX on dry but hated it in the rain, even barelly wet surfaces were pretty edgy!

There are decent tires but have weak sidewalls. The only tire with weaker sidewalls are the hankook rs-2's. Benifits of weaker sidewalls are better ride quality and lower road noise. You can try to compensate with higher pressures.
I think a better bang for the buck would be the Falken RT615's. Too bad tirerack Doesn't sell them.

well these will last me into next springs first few events - then I am going to get another set of wheels so I can run a more comfortable street tire and a dedicated track tire.

So comparing to the RE-070 (stiff sidewall) I'll need to jack the pressure up a bit. I was running 36/35 or so on the Potenza's at the track.

i guess tires are as hard as brakes....

so ive had the MX's installed for less than 2 weeks. very happy with the performance, wet and dry. BUT...woke up this morning with 2 flats, both driver side. so im guessing i ran something over called tire rack spoke with Neal. he isnt authorized to do any pricing adjustments or anything so he transferred me to i forget who..anyway, 2 tires at 50%. pretty happy with that. i should be ok putting just 2 new ones on with only about 300 miles on the others right?
