next step in making the evo handle better?
i have already installed a rear sway bar on my evo and i was just wondering what the next step to making the car handle better would be. im not in the market for coil overs yet so would you reccomend springs. i have heard that a lot of lowering springs actually harm handling charicteristics, are there any springs that make the car handle better/ decrease body roll. or any other part that will help handling??? thanks for the advice
There are plenty of topics on this -- on my evo, for now, i have the swifts and i can say that they do not harm handling in any way. They do reduce body roll, feel like stock and a linear spring.
Espielers are good as well -- you can speak to Robi or Andrew to get more information on their bump steer correction kits as well. I'm personally headed in the direction of a coilover since I do autox often and hope to get into track days as well.

alright thanks yah i autocross my car as much as i can also and i was just trying to get some advice on this topic. would coilovers be the next step to really get the car to feel great. if so what woulld you reccomend, ive heard good things about muellerized and about robispec. i also noticed on mueller's site he has coilovers ranging from like 2000 all the way up to like 7000 what is the difference between these kits. would the $2000 kit fit my needs of a daily driver that would be used at autocross events, i wouldnt be interested in changing any of the specs of the suspension once i got it, the more expensive ones just offer more adjustments correct? i would love some more info on all of this if you could thanks.

If you're not ready for coilovers yet (either financially or capability wise) then getting the rest of the car sorted and using a good set of springs like Swifts is a great way to go about things.
Just sell the springs when you're ready to step up to coilovers....there's always a buyer.

Your last questions make me think you need to do lots of research on coilovers and suspensions in general. It not just pay more for more knobs, shiny parts and remote reservoirs. The more you pay the more you get is basicly what it boils down to. Larger pistons, better valving, adjustable compression and rebound, not to mention r & d...it goes on and on.
Not interested in changing the specs once you get your suspension? Thats the point to suspension tuning...tuned to suit your needs and application.

well i would like to have a custom alignment done and everything but its not like id be sitting at home one night and decide to adjust my camber if you know what i mean.
