MAJOR Vibration Issues !!

Hey guys,

I just had the local shop swap out my advans/ps2's for the stockers/blizzaks..

On the way home I experienced a violent vibration. The place was closing so I just rode it home (2min, literally) and checked the wheels in my own garage. Everything looked fine...

My guess is that the lugs are the problem. I used a set of gorilla lugs that threaded just fine, but were not the ones I used last season...any thoughts??

i,m sure the shop would have noticed if the lugs wern,t seated properly. take it back and let him check it again, its as simple as that.

What did you check? Did you check torque on the lug nuts? Could have one hand tightened or slightly more which is enough to cause bad vibration.

since you have the stockers on you should use stock lug nuts.

aftermarket lugnuts don't have that sleeve that the stock one do which center the lugnut hole. Without that there is a noticeable gap between the lug and lugnut hole in the wheel. This is of course only if your still using stock wheels.

i found the stock lug nuts last night.

i'm bringing the car back in about 30 minutes to see if that resolves it.

it was the lugs..

swapped them out in favor of the oem acorn-type lugs and the car is back to normal without so much as a hint of vibration.
