Review sounds great. Would you say the TSO's are very liveable on the street. I'm planning on doing some DE's and a few track events but the car IS a street car first. That being said, I rode around with 475front and 650rear spring rates on my M3 coilovers and was perfectly OK with that.
Neither fronts nor rears are inverted, and all of our shocks are monotube for now.

edit: The prototype part of the R1's is partially the rates (to see how they fair for everday driving, which I do a lot of) and partially the damping - this set in particular will be the first of several sets dubbed R1 while we experiment with different valving in order to see if changes need to be made to the damping of other sets for future production, as well as the finalized production version of the R1.

What's the pricing on the TSO's. All I see on the PIC site are these:

The shock bottom bodies look exactly like my Apexi's (which are the same as the megans) but different color.

The Select TSO's offered exclusively through Pure Tuning. I would suggest contacting Aaron or Keith @ Pure Tuning for pricing.

I thought monotube was optimal. What would you change it to?

The alternative is inverted, where the shock body is essentially flipped and mounted "upside down". The benefits are the capability to handle increased lateral load, moving the shock away from the heat generated by the rotors, and reduced unsprung weight. Whether or not these benefits would be realized by a daily driven car are debatable.

I tested the new PIC R1's during my visit to Naperville, Ill. in the PIC EVO 9. I have driven the Pure/PIC TSO EVO 8 on the street too. For comparison. The R1 is alot more street friendly. I can't wait till spring to test the R1's at the track.

From my experience with PIC's the R1 will work well at the track.

For comparison. My Civic Si rans on the softer setting PICs than the Honda Challenge cars. But having driven both cars. My Street Civic Si with softer PIC is pretty predictable on the track. I have taken a bunch of people for a ride and many were impress with the car.

I daily drive my Si, autocross it sometimes and track it too. I have won some local SCCA autocross in STS with it and have been fast at the track and still be able to drive it without bouncing all over the street.

So the R1 should be close to my PIC Civic Si.
