Suspension sag?

I got some tire rub from only of my tires on my Evo. While I was doing a little inspection of the tire I noticed that the right rear of my car sags almost a whole inch than the other. Could this be cause I need a new strut? I recently went back to stock ride height from a set of Eibach springs and it sagged on those too. Any suggestions?

Lowering the car may have caused the stock struts to wear out or leak.

I know that much. When I got the car its was sitting on Eibachs. I didn't like the ride height so I went back to the stock springs. Thats when I really noticed that sag. But I do think it was sagging with the Eibachs too. Guess I gonna have to save up for some new struts.

Makes sense, misunderstood the post.

The Eibach's are really low if i recall correctly, so it may just have been too much for your struts.

Static ride height problem is usually from a worn spring. You didn't happen to measure your stock spring length before you put them back on did you? Then again you are talking stock suspension here. Easy way to test the shock is just simply compress both of them(with no springs) at the same time. If it's trash, it won't return at all(no nitrogen pressure left). If it returns slowly, or not all the way(compared to the other shock), it still needs to be replaced.

You know what now that you mention it, while I had the shocks out there was only one that I could slightly press about an inch under my own strength. Coincidentally it was the one that is sagging now. Its all good I'm getting new struts this week anyway. Thanks to all.

Look forward to my thread on helping me choose new tires.

Update: Ok I got my new struts and springs installed and the car still sags. But heres the kicker. After some measurements the whole right side droops about a 1/8th an inch. The car has never been wrecked. Any suggestions on how to tackle this problem?

I've owned a body shop and to me that could mean its been hit there or something is missing form the suspension ? I'm sure you have already but try taking a real close look at the other side and see if maybe something is missing - something like maybe a washer ; or maybe it may be installed on the wrong side giving you extra lift or dropping it depending on which side you're on ?
