Subaru Rim Fitment

Does anyone know if the stock Subaru WRX STi BBS wheels (the 10 spoke ones) would fit on an evo? I am pretty sure the bolt pattern is the same, but I am curious about the offset and whether or not it will clear the brakes.

My friend is selling some nice gold ones for cheap, so Im thinking about buying them.

I do believe that the offset will not work. I like the gold BBS wheels too.

If they are off of an 04' STi they will not fit as the bolt patterns are different 5x100. I do know the offset of the Subarus are different in the 50's somewhere which will present you with a clearence problem. You may also run into problems with the hud centric size as well. You may want to test fit these before you buy them. Good luck.

15mm spacer should make them work.

normal subaru offsets 42-53 on the bbs I think it is 48 but I could be wrong

normal evo offset 25-38

spacers will bring the offset down to a lower number.

will a spacer compomise anything else on the car though? I have heard that they will flex and make the car handle worse or something like that...not too sure though

As long as you get extended studs for them it should not be a problem. I would recommend not using spacers unless needed but if you have to run those wheels I would get the H&R spacers. They will not flex.

see if your budy will let you try them make sure the wheel doesnt rub @ full lock out. Make sure the brakes clear. Obviously the bolt pattern has to match. Only run spacers if youhave to. Also after spacers and longer studs for four wheels it may not be a good deal anymore.

that may be true, but the only other wheels I would put on my car would be advan rgII's or maybe SSR comp c's, but I can get these for 650 with bridgestone potenza's with a lot of tread left. Plus how many evos do you see with these wheels I think it would be sick!
