tein s-techs on a 9 mr?
i got a buddy who just got his brand new 9 mr wanted to dropp his well he did, i told him to get the work springs but he said it costed to much, he liked the dropp on the s-techs and i told him s-techs arent good for the bilsteins. He didnt listening to he purchased the springs and put them on.
my question is will it hurt his suspension pretty soon? or will they hold up?
Your friend is brilliant.
He buys $35,000+ MR and wants to cheap out on springs.
What's the price difference? About $100?
Amazing.
Like you said some people don't like listening to a sound advice.
What can you do?

My friend put s-techs on his 9 MR and not sure how many miles they lasted, but it was around 4 months till the shocks went. Tell your friend to spend that little extra cash, it will be well worth it in the long run.

The MR Bilstein shocks aren't very cheap. It would've been a more prudent route for your friend to get springs that are designed with the correct height and spring rate for the MR Bilsteins to make it handle better, last significantly longer, and be aesthetically pleasing.
Tell your friend congratulations on tossing away roughly $1500 (going price for brand new Bilstein front and rear shocks) to save $100 in the short run. You can also advice him to save up for the new shocks or coil overs he's going to have to buy in a very short time.

Yea.... I don't see any cheap way of "upgrading" the stock MR suspension...
I considered S Techs on my IX (non-MR), but decided to hold out for some street coils... do it once and do it right!

swift sport mach or espelir active GT are good for the MR's. i have the swifts and its a nice, little stiffer than stock ride.
tanabe's are good too from what i have been reading here on evom and norcalevo.
