Exclamation Securing Brake lines

I have a set of budyclub coilover and there is no where (that I have noticed on them) to secure the front brake lines. What have you guys done? my concern is that the do not rub against the outdrives.

Some zip ties would work until you can figure out a more permanent solution.

Pull the lower strut mount off and take it to a local weld shop. Have them weld a bolt to the mount. Turn the bolt over so that the "head" is what is welded to the mount and the threads are up. Then you can attach the brake line just like stock. Make sure to explain to them that the mount is threaded and if they weld to hot it will distort the threads and the part will be useless. Any competent welder can do this with ease. You will have to paint the area that was welded to keep it from rusting and that should do it.

Ah I see. Should've announced that in the original post.

You could also use a clamp with double sided tape (only 1 side's plastic removed to keep scratches off the strut) around strut body and a smaller clamp connected to the larger clamp and holding the brake line away from rotating parts. It's not the prettiest solution but you won't have to remove the coil overs from the car.

If you're more than willing to, drifto's idea would be the best way to go. You could also hack off the mounting brackets from the stock struts and have that welded to the optimum location on your buddy club coil over as well.

If you could, that would be the cleanest looking route. Can't beat BC brackets on a BC coil over.

You should be able to build a simple bracket out of sheet metal and attach it to the hub via the hub bolts. Should be clean, simple, and out of the way.

If you go the zip-tie route, get the ones that are metal backed to keep it from snapping...

Or use a large hose clamp. Should work the same.

I actually found a different solution. One of the bolts on the chassis itself, was close enough to bolt them to it, while still allowing plenty of length of travel for the suspension.

You have to realize that with a suspension like that, there isn't suspension travel like the stock setup. I'll have to take a picture next time I'm in there.
