Faust what type of coilover? Do you have helper springs? Are you using the stock top mounts, or camber plates?

Yep, mine just started doing the same thing. I'm running GAB/KYB coilovers and lucky me! There's no US distributor!

Well thought I'd join in on this too. I am getting the same noises (popping/clunking) at the front upon turning to the right on the right side suspension area.

I am running Robispec'd KW Club Sport Variant 3s with Ground Control camber plates (I'm not holding my breath on Robi helping out though, although he might in 4 months when he finally responds ). I'm now wondering if the bearing in the camber plate needs greasing

The other odd thing is that I am getting a clunking sound in the right rear as well. That noise is heard constantly over bumps. I was running JICs prior to my KWs and the noise was there in the rear on both occassions. I guess I need to check that bearing as well but, I think it would be odd that both the JICs and the KWs right rear upper mount bearings needed grease but, I guess you never know.

I'll post up the remedy once it is found.

As posted in another thread, I have this too and I have Megans. Nothing seems to be affected (braking, ride quality etc.). The only thing is this clunk at very low speed when taking off, braking or turning.
Post up the remedy guys!

After i took the coils off, i did notice that the bearing on my cusco camber plates did have a little bit of play.... I wonder if this is the problem?

Most likely, when I took my car to TT bean thought the bearings were a tad loose and were causing the popping sounds in the back and the clunk in the front...so far I'm on springs for now and I'm loving the quietness lol.

I thought I'd post up a development on my problem in the event in helps anyone. I have been pulling my hair out trying to solve the clunking noise in the right rear. Fortunately I have a lift in my garage so I an easily look at the rear.

I've finally narrowed it down to a simple wheel bearing failure I had thought is was the coilovers, then one of the ball joints, then possibly the axle but, everything has checked out except the wheel bearing.

Now that I have thought about it some more, I am nearly 100% sure it is this. I will be ordering one tomorrow and will post up my results.

woohoo me too at low speeds also. I just thought it was normal for new coilovers to do it... But it's only when I turn at low speeds so it doesnt really bother me yet.

i dont have coilovers so im not sure if this applies to the guys with Coilovers.

i mentioned my prob to a guy at JSC speed and he said that it may be the strut bushing. (14.76/ea at my local mitsu dealership)

dont know if that helps any of you guys out

Yeah, I don't think that is remotely close to what the problem is.

I would agree, however, in his case it may have been true. I think the clunging that is being heard is more due to a machanical failure either in the bushings or possible wheel bearing(s).
