Stock tires have fairly good grip, but no life and suck in the wet. If you want some good tires that dont have a tread life like stock, but a lil better grip then get the Falken RT-615's. I personally bought my car used and it had some Fuzion ZRi's and i just put some Kumho ASX's to get a longer life tire and i have yet to get a squeal from em during hard cornering. I know they're not the best, but thats just my experience with em.

after stock tires i went with a summer kumho and i had them for 20,000 miles. the only reason i had to change is because i got stationed in NE and needed all seasons. went with a kumho's again. i love the fact that they are cheap and they are the same or higher quality as more expensive tires

I can tell you never actually had Advans on your car. They drive like glue, dry or wet. They just wear out too fast.

Thanks for posting this.

I hear the A046s knocked all the time. Except for the tread life, I have found them to be an excellent all-around tire.

I just bought a pair of Khumos (third set on the car). They have a treadwear rating of 320. The stock Advans have a rating of 180. I expect to get 35-40K miles out of the Khumos.

Dunlop Wintersport M3's - V rated, wear like iron, unstoppable in snow, I run them year around. A rally car looks good on knobby tires.

It depends on your driving and road conditions. There are a lot of people on this forum that lives in some locations where the roads aren't that good.

There are some other people like my lady(evo9grl) that just want something affordable because her mileage is 99.9% from work to home so she just wants something that would last more than stock.

I am basicly the same way, I am currently on Yokohamas AV100 which cost half of the price of the stock one but last and not least there are many people that have higher demand of performance quality tires.

It is all about your budget and needs.

Carlos
