Unhappy Megan coilover question?

I was on my way to work and my new coilovers started to make a popping rattleing noise. I was in formed to stop driving the car do to the fact that it will damage the suspension. Now, I have read the entire install manuel 2 times all the way through. I have read on the forums that I need to tighten the top 17mm nut. I did and I took it for a drive and it still makes the noise, I just dont want them messed up. Anyone if you can help me that would be great. Thank you all.

Especially on cold days or during driving conditions, these shocks that use very wide diameter pistons will experience stiction, or the initial friction that the piston encounters with the shock body walls during movement. The oil inside is thick because of the cold. The sound will usually go away after some short driving as the shock and oil heats up.

Does the noise persist even as you keep driving?

Did you check how tight the spring perches were? The two need to be tightented, they aren't from the factory.

how tight do they have to be I mean cause i took the suspension apart and put it back together to specs. the sprind has little to no play when jacked up and not compressed.

Have had mine on for a year and no problems. Might have to replace them like you said.
