please help, Can you over tighten a bolt when installing a coilover kit

please help, Can you over tighten a bolt when installing a coilover kit

Can you over tighten a bolt when installing a coilover kit? Im not too sure if I did…. Is it possible that I did, and if so what should they be trqd at ?

Always use the torque wrench. You can always overtighten anything if you are ham fisted. There are some free download car manual sites that will show you torque settings. Buy a nice torque wrench will last you a long time.

so what shoud the torque be, cuz i really thing i might have overtighten the rear..... im not sure if the rear coilover needs to move when driving.... ? ?????

There are free downloads of service manuals. You might have to revisit the website periodically to download EVO 8 or EVO 9 supplement. The download is only available every few hours. Good luck.

Front strut bolts are 130 ft-lbs uppers are about 30 ft-lbs
Rear lowers (all 3) are about 65-70ft-lbs, uppers are same as front
