need help with rim fitment....

i'm looking at some rims that are 18x9.5 with a 35mm offset? just wanted to know if these will fit with no problem? i really don't want to do any fender rolling. what would i need to make them fit? i'm lowered on tein s-tech's. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

it all depends on tire size...s-techs are pretty low I have a feeling you will rub a little in the rear with a 255/35

if you get a 245/40 you might be okay but that defeats the purpose of having a 9.5" width wheel

They'll fit with out rolling in rear with a 255/35. In the front you're going to need spacers to clear the front struts. I have 18 x 9.5's +34 front and rear with 265/35's all around. I have coilovers but I have a spacer in the front to keep tire off the strut. In the rear it's perfect. No rolling of the fenders front and rear. Keep in mind that +35 means you are 1mm closer to the strut than I am on +34. Good luck.

I ordered a 18x9.5 +29mm offset and it will fit. I think as long as your front caliper clears you will have no problem. But that will depend on your rim design. There is tire/wheel fitment tread and I would check there just to make sure.

^+1. Completely depends on rim design. 18x9.5 fn01rc's fit all day w/ 35mm offset; same size RPF1's w/38mm offset takes about 20mm of spacer to fit. Depends if the spokes clear the calipers.

How is that an accurate comparision? You compared not only two different wheels, but also two different offsets. Off course +38 mm is not going to fit with the Brembos. Also if you put a 20 mm spacer on a +38 mm offset that would then make +18 and that definitely won't fit.

what rims are you looking at? kind of hard to give a good opinion on fitment without knowing the rims you are looking at

i was looking at these

http://www.sportmaxwheel.com/sportmax_962.shtml

if you read the description it does say the design clears most big brakes.

i would call them to find out. the only sizes i could find that definatly fit the evo is the 18x8.5 5mm spacer up front.they do look good https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...light=sportmax

A guy I know just put them on his 240 (unfortunately 4 lug), but looking at them I would think they will definitely clear the brembos. They have spokes like the GN+ almost. Definitely alot of room in there for brakes.

38mm with the 20mm spacer (correct, 18mm effective offset) will "fit". It takes the 20mm spacer for the spokes of the wheels to clear the calipers. Not saying they'll fit inside the fender wells or not, just saying, you can get them on the car. I believe Warrtalon runs 40mm wheels with 25mm spacers up front, which makes an effective offset of 15mm.

My point was that you can't just look at offset to determine if a rim of a particular width will work. It depends on other things too. And as far as 'of course 38mm is not going to fit', um... not correct either.
