Talking Swift springs

So I have decided I cant take the nose in the air look anymore. After researching springs for about a week I decided on Swift. Next was the easy part of ordering them, right? No way! Swift lowering springs are hard to find in stock these days. A few places have the MR springs but only one place had the non-MR springs. Thanks to Invision Evo. Not only did they have a few sets left, they were shipped the same day. NICE!!
I cant wait till they arrive. Quick question do they come with suggested alignment settings like Prodrive springs do?

mine didn't. But it all depends on what you plan to do with the car. If this is your daily driver I would recommend: Camber -2.0 (front) and -1.0 (rear), 0 toe all around.

Good choice ... time to change your nic, you're not Bonestock! anymore ... -1.5+ deg camber in the front, -1 deg camber in the rear and 0 toe all around should be a good starting point.

I have the swifts on my car and love them, but on a side note what would more negative camber in the rear effect as far as hadling goes?

The only problem I have is if I get the swifts(or any other spring comparable) is: will I have blown shocks down the road? I have heard horror stories of the teins, but I know swifts are better since they are non progressive rate. I just don't want to end up with blown shocks like I did with my old civic with a 2" drop on eibach sportlines.

That is because Tein s-techs, unlike some of the higher quality springs, doesn't compensate for lowering by stiffening up the spring ... thus when the car hits a bump the shock bottoms out = bad.

I'm pretty sure the Swift springs are progressive...

I just installed them this past weekend and got the alignment done yesterday (tuesday)

love the ride....def softer over bumps...but in corners it sticks like glue. Also for some reason it's easier to hold a line now...the car isnt' as jumpy over bumps in the turn etc.

You can download the Swift spec sheet here:
http://www.swiftsprings.com/file/Swi...rtsSprings.pdf

says th front is variable from 179-269 lb/in and the rears are 207-319 lb/in

btw: check these guys it's where i got mine from in a few days' time.

I think they absorb better...i don't feel the entire car responding to bumps...rather it's more isolated to the wheel(s) hitting that bump or deformation.

IMHO it is a much better ride now...i was a bit nervous at first when i test drove it because i though it was too soft...but the actual body weight transfer and handling in corners has improved greatly.

This is just my opinion as to how i feel my car behaves...only way to compare is to drive one yourself!

I have swifts on my MR, I've only had them on for a couple days now and haven't had a chance to get an allignment yet, but they are AWESOME. I think they handle better than stock springs and the ride is smoother to me.

I had Swift springs and they are great! Great look and the ride is just like stock. Mine did not come with alignment specs.
