Yeah, that's pretty much the case.

ive got hawk pads on the front and cheapos on the rear (had to make it pass inspection) and now im experiencing the loudest squealing ive ever heard. its ridiculous and the crc anti squeal isnt working. anyone know what the fix could be? im thinkin about auto zone pads myself to get rid of the noise.

I have Hawk HPS pads and I think they are great compared to stock.

As for the squealing, mine dont do it much but I used the OEM shim and covered the entire back with anti squeal goop. Mine will squeal when I brake very hard for racing, other than that, the occasional squeal when I come to a stop. Usually goes away after one hard brake.

i bought the car used so i dont think these were the factory pads so when i changed the pads the metal on the back of the pad was cracked. im gonna put the anti squeal on the rear padas today and see if that helps it. it just sounds like its the front brakes makin noise. if this doesnt fix it then i dunno what to do. the pads are practically brand new so id hate to waste them. but it is sooooooo loud
