The Best Suspention Setup
No they're not. Go on several track days, get rides w/ other Evos, I think that's really the only way to get a good idea of what your car is capable of now and what/how you would like to change it.
Yes it is, it is one that I had until I got my car on track and got everything up to temperature. These cars don't need much to have a good time. Quality coilovers, good alignment and some used race tires (if you're a cheap *** like me) makes for a fun track day.
And everyone here is right... comparing driving on the street versus driving a car hard at the track is a completely different ball game. Definitely try and catch a ride with someone at the track who knows what they're doing, it will amaze you.
Teins aren't too well liked by serious track guys but they can work well. They tend to have too high of damping and not enough rebound so they make the car a bit bouncy. With some judicious shock tuning and kick *** driving, I'm sure they're fine but why not start out with one of the better coilovers instead (Ohlins, KW, Motons - I would put Zeal and Cusco Z2R on the high end of Japanes ones if you must get something from there).
I would have to agree with Talon, you won't be able to push your car hard enough on the street to really know what your car can do. People crash that attempt to do this. The track is the place to find out what your can and cannot do. Just my 2 cents.
Trust me, the cyber evo isnt running some run of the mill tein flex's. Those things are probably full custom revalve with custom spring rates. You might as well compare apples to oranges, thats essentially what your saying. The plain fact of the matter is, teins are bottom of the list for true track drivers across the pond here.
