Just based on what I have read here I think the Ferodo 2500 DS are what some like along with the Hawk HPS. I just went ahead and bought the OEM.

Maybe they didnt grease them enough and that's why you have noise. All pads have the capability of squealing.

Seems beyong the Hawk, the most common (and liked) street pads are:

Ferrodo 2500 DS
Performance Friction Z pads

Btw, this question gets asked daily...

I just installed them also last weekend and I get an annoying high pitch noise when I press the pedal lightly.

I have Hawk HP+ Pads............and they dont make any noise at all. My car is a daily driver too.
They must have been installed half a$$ (not enough high temp grease).
Take them off and prep them.

+1 If you re-use the OEM shims and a decent amount of grease, they should barely squeak, if at all.

I used silicone stuff I got at auto zone. It's pink and comes in a squeeze bottle. I used hi temp copper grease and I like this pink stuff better. AND REUSE THE STOCK SHIMS. I don't use them once and it squeaked like hell.
