to steal from a close friend of mine, vishnu_evo8,
Robi is the "strength of strength".

robispec international won't disappoint and that really would be cool to see mr. fuller himself go to dubai and set some folks up.

my car is one part vishnu and one part robispec (amazingly, the universe has yet to impode), they've really come together nicely.

more pics to follow, eventually.

robi, are you serious? i am.

i also have a friend with an r32 (mk5) and kw v3s on the way (the coilovers, not the car) -- would you be able to set him up as well?

i should be able to put you up to around 4 to 5 Evos, a Civic or two, an R32, etc.

That sounds like it would be a nice little trip for Dr. Fuller – Suspension Surgeon.

quick update:
in the original post, i mentioned an RA1/ JRZ suspended boxster that was faster than me at the PCA autox. well, long story short, the evo was faster by 7 tenths today. there was also a nice noble out today, on AO48's, making serious power. got him too, but the difference was, in my opinion, insignificant (.1). the last time i ran on the same course with that noble, he was 2 seconds faster than me (41.5 vs 43.7) but i was also on the stock MR suspension.

at last week's track day, the car lapped every other car in my run group at least once to include a PSS9 equipped e36 M3 on RA1's. BTW, are 046's a good track/autox tire? as in, if price weren't an issue, would you choose the 046 over RE-01R's or RT615's?

the downside to this suspension - it's hard to tell if it's the car or the driver. i'd like to think it's me. all i can tell you is that on stock tires, as in the same ones the car brought here from japan, she has taken down two fairly well equipped r-comp cars. this is my first season of autox or track days, and while i think i am getting better as i go, i still doubt it's a matter of me just out-classing these other guys.

so, the moral of the story: robispec is for cheaters. i can't wait for this friday's track day.

Tell me about it. I can't wait till people around here get back from summer break. I've got an VW Mk5 R32 lined up (robi's checking for the optimal spring and damping rates for KW V3s), myself, 1 Evo VII and 2 Evo IXs.

i like the LOL part. it went like this:

1. thinking to myself - holy cow, that left-right-left was really violent
2. realizing that, despite the above mentioned violence, there was little wasted motion. very tidy.
3. seriously laughing out loud for the remainder of the course.

i have got to find some way to get somebody to repair/set up my suspension. i bought buddy club racing spec coilovers about a year and a half ago, and they have all but fallen apart. my front suspension makes so many ungodly noises i don't really even like driving anymore. every day i just want to rip it all out and start over. no clue why the noises started, but they are coming from the top mount on both sides, and there's a separate noise that started from the bottom. there's no one even close to me that does anything with suspensions though.

We're probably looking at an October fly-in date. My ECU tuner will be flying in around the same time, and I'm trying to get magazine coverage for the ECU and suspension tuning. Us Evo folk aren't filthy rich like the guys who drive exotica, but we'd be happy to take you around, and if you don't mind bunking on a sofa bed in my apartment in a decent part of town
