I ordered my TE37's with black locking lugs and center caps. The wheels came in like 2 days surprisingly, but unfortunatley the lugs and caps are on backorder, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for now *knocks on wood*

I just got a new Evo! Now I need wheel locks. So I've narrowed it down to Rays or Kyokugen (closed type) but then I saw these RALLIART wheel locks. Can't find them anywhere though. Anyone seen these? And will the Rays and Kyos fit on the stock Enkeis?

Ps: Pic downloaded from hyperrev mag/catalog Vol. 81...if you dont have it, go get it!

What I don't get is you have to have the key with the car at all times, right? So a criminal can break into the car and locate it. It's kinda heavy to carry in your pocket when you leave your car. But I still use the wheel locks anyway.

Not if you find a good hiding spot for it.

Some are going to the extent of using liquid Nitrogen. Basically get ur wheels in a heart beat for those that can handle it correctly.

Are you really ready to pay approx $180 for a set of wheel locks? Doing the conversion on that pice posted in the Alex Evo ad.

Just go for the Kyokugen locks. They are light enough as it is. As for the second question yes they will fit.

I've always used wheel locks on all my cars with any aftermarket wheels (and i've got em on my evo stockers). Its just like having an alarm, it's a deturant. Sure "pros" can get by your fancy alarm in seconds, or can have your car on blocks and stripped in 4 minutes with or without wheel locks. However, I've had 2 cars stolen and numerous break-ins, and I can say in all these instances it was just a moron that saw an easy oppurtunity.

I use locknuts as a general deterent. That said, there is a simple tool available at most hardware stores that will remove most locknuts (McGuard, etc.) about as fast as the key will. I used it to remove my lock nuts when I couldn't find my key. PM me if you want to know what tool it is...don't want to make thieves lives too easy.

Just give my experience...Although I never tried to use 5 different keyed locks, I did use 2 way back in the day when I was in highschool with my favorite Mitsubishi (My Old 1G), anyway, I came out of work at the local mall and someone had taken my rims right off of the car with no problem. If they want the rims, they will take them, same as everything else. And I think madcat or something mentioned the wheel lock removal tool. He's right, if the criminals have one of those, your locks are worthless.

Wheel locks are a joke!
You're throwing away your money. Anyone who steals wheels, has access to wheel lock keys or the equipment to break wheel locks. Wheel locks protect you from the 1 in 100 wheel theives that haven't joined the 21st century and can't break a wheel lock, which takes less than 2 seconds with the right equipment.

I agree. If someone wants your wheels bad enough they will get them, wheel locks or not. What wheel locks are designed for is someone who doesn't have that much time or equipment. It's like the club. It will stop the average thief. Besides, how can it be worse than not doing anything?
