Hankook Ventus R-S2 vs. Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R

Anyone have experience with the Hankooks? From what I've seen the Potenza's are a step up from the stock Advans. Are the R-S2's better than the RE-01's?

Thanks

Dry they are somewhat close (Edge going to the RE01R) in the wet there is no comparison...RE01R rock in the rain. I chose the RE01R and let me say as long as they are out I will not run another tire unless it be R compounds. Ask Bridgestone why they are pretty much on national backorder, autocross guys scoop these up faster than they are made.

I've autox'd on Falken Azenis RT-215 and RT-615, Hankook Z212, Kumho MX and now the Bridgestone RE-01R over the past four seasons.

The RE-01R are currently on my Evo and in my opinion have the best dry and wet grip, and surprisingly, the sidewalls are as thick as the old Azenis.

Just the input I was looking for. You've tested all 3 of the tires I'm looking at and found the RE-01's best. Thanks!

You pay for the extra on the Bridgestone too... the RS2, Azenis, MX etc are all a lot cheaper.

Advan Neovas are actually the best, but theyre just too expensive.

Check out these new tires, theres allot of talk in the auto-x world that they may be the next "tire to have"

Good point, I personally consider the Falken Azenis the best bang for the buck.

Interesting, it looks similar to the RE-01R. They also have different treadwear ratings but as you guys know that can't be directly compared between manufacturers.

Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 (treadwear 200)

Bridgestone Potenze RE-01R (treadwear 140/180)

i im not sure of the treadwear of the direzzas, if thats right or not. somewhere else has them quoted at 180. I do not know how they perform, they came out too late for auto-x nats and havent even been approved yet. should be interesting
