Looks like brake fluid is seeping (or has) from the bleeder.Did you crack open bleeder to bleed brakes? It is now after the fact because after you wash that caliper with soap and water the bubbled paint will come off.

That looks like damage from brake fluid. Did you clean up after you were finished?

Bleeder screw a little loose? Looks like it.

Heavy breaking = Hot brake fluid maybe leaking and causing a reaction with the paint.. You definitly want to check that... and make sure no enemys are hating by poping that screw loose on you at night or something.. < all it takes is a wrench and 5sec.

FFR, you don't need to bleed your brakes when replacing pads.

Mitsu may not warrany your brakes. the first question they asked me is if i have ever bled the brakes!
And it is not entirely brembo's fault. Mitsu hand picked the paint and clear for these brakes however brake fluid will do that to almost any brake paint.

I don't know if this is right but I heard from someone that the paint from the brembos on the 8's actually started to melt from excessive heat. Just somethin I heard though, might be true, might not be.

they dont melt.. the fact is that when people do brake pad changes the will chip the clear coat near the pins when trying to insert the pins back in and over time the brakes will get hot and cold and the metal will expand and so on and moisture will get in between the clear and the red paint and over time seperate the clear from the paint...

if you look at the pics he poisted the clear coat was bubbled like as if it was corroded.. braked fluid is corrosive... so.. theres our assumptions of the brake fluid leaking and so destroying the clear coat...

i doubt mitsubishi will cover it just due to the fact that the brakes may have been bled or the pads were changed and of course they would make up every excuse in the book.. best bet is to clean it up and respray it with some heat resistant paint... good luck none the less
