265/30/19 on 8.5's? should fit..
Im debating putting these on 19 x 8.5's they say theyre for 9-10" wheels
i had 255/40/17's on the stock wheels and those are for 8.5-9.5 wheels and they still fit s
anyone think theyre gonna be a problem?

exactly.... its very common to run 255/40/17's ont he stock wheels even though according to the tire manufacturer theyre too wide for that wheel....
i shoudl be able to get away with a 265 on a 8.5

19's on an Evo is like a REALLY bad boob job on an otherwise hawt girl.
Please don't do it.
By the way... I have run 255s on the stock rim and must tell you that while you "can" its far less than ideal.
You lose the crisp turn in and fast feel that you have with the 235s. If you want to run them go for it but it's non-optimal.

265s are not good for an 8.5" rim and 19s are not good for the Evo.

They would fit, but Warrtalon is correct. You shouldn't put them on, nor 19's on an evo.
People put 255's on the stock rims, so it would fit on an 8.5" rim, but not worth it. I have 255's on a 9" rim and it's plenty of tread for my daily driver.

#1 i didnt edit it... warrtalon is an idiot..
#2 nothings wrong with 19's theyre volks and very light... lighter than the stock wheels. the tires are also lighter than tires for stock wheels.. im saving about 5 pounds on each corner.
# i didnt ask for anyones opinion on my size wheels... i have 18 x 9.5 for road race, stock wheels with drag radials for the strip and 19's that look amazing for the street. i have the best of every world.
the reason i want a 265 is for the extra grip for drag racing.. i have 245/35's right now and i spin first very bad and 2nd a little... im trying to get rid of that spin in 2nd gear.

That doesn't make any sense - 265/30-19s for drag racing? You're trying to maximize grip for drag racing through a wider tire when you already have drag radials on smaller rims (much better solution), when it's an awful idea to even TRY to drag on 19s, and when we keep telling you that even though a 265 can fit on an 8.5" rim, IT DOES NOT MAXIMIZE THE CONTACT PATCH! You are going to be bulging over the edges, you'll have a small and very stiff sidewall, and none of that helps for drag racing. You want the walls to be soft and crinkle for drag racing, and you want to maximize the contact patch with a tire that properly fits on the rim.
Sheesh. More money then sense here. I'd also like to know which 265/30-19 tires weigh less than 25lbs.

lol no homies lol
265s would help a bit... and give it a nice beefy look.. i like theyre a little taller so when i drop air pressure it does make a difference..
i dont dd with drag radials... it rains all the time in fl and i dont like swapping rims all the time, dont want to get caught in the wet on nearly slick tires
