i had the same problem when i lost my key bro... what i did is just buy a new set of wheel locks and went to discount tire and had them break the locks off... breaking em off wont damage the studs or what not but yea, they were a big help... the guy just told me to tip him so i wouldn't need to pay so i just tipped him $20 n went off... hope that helps

You have a couple of choices seeing as i have had this same problem. Do you need them off now or can it wait a couple of days? If you need them off tonight then do you have any impact sockets that you can use to hammer on and then see if it will break the lug free. I have done this once or twice on friends cars that lost there adapters. We pound the sockets on and just unbolted the lugs. Also see if a friend or a shop close by has the same style locks. If you have time find out where the locks came from like tirerack, Mr. tire, discounttire or wherever. Hope it helps a little.

it is very hard to find a wheel lock key that will work. that is the point of them. get a socket and bang it on as already instruced. also their are special sockets that are designed to only work in reverse and are an impact style socket that has spiraled splines on the inside to grab the lock and take it off. then replace ur locks or get regular lugs.

Where's your key? If a dealer sold it to you that way, I'd have them resolve it.

Take it to a good tire/wheel store, they can remove them without damage.

I had that problem but it was the dealer's fault because the key that came in the glove box did not work with the locknuts.

What the dealer did was get an extractor socket, and by simply using a impact tool, they got them out and put a new set .

I actually had this problem last week with my winter car. There's a set of ****ty aftermarket 17" wheels on it, and I got a flat. I didn't have the key, so i just hammered a socket on each lugnut, and then used a breaker bar to get them off. Use a craftsman socket, so if you ruin it, you can return it.

If they are Mitsu locks there are something like only 6 different keys so they should be able to get you the correct one w/o too much issue.

Most every dealer will have a master set for the wheel locks they sell. Only down side is you have to get to the dealer. I found it easiest just to buy a spare key socket. Especially after I had to take the locks off of my wifes car after she lost the key.

Just go the Sears and buy a ATD Tools 3060 11 pc. Locking Wheel Nut Remover, you can get any nut or bolt off.
