DIY removing wheel lock

ok so i bought my car and the previous owner misplaced the key for the wheel lock. i went to the mitsu dealership and said they dont have the master key set because mitsu uses mcgard lugs.

i've used the craftsman and a generic brand wheellock remover and it didnt work all of them were either 2 big or to small.

anybody haev experience with this problem?? what brand of wheel lock remover should i get??

use a socket. Hammer a socket onto the wheel lock and take it of that way. I've done it before a few times and it works

Try to find out from the previous owner what brand of wheel lock it is. Or if he can contact the manufacturer to send you a new key.

All wheel locks are the same. Any key from any will work. 2g, evo, outlander, etc.. All the same. Thats why I didn't get the locks from mitsubishi

Hammer the socket works well. If you buy the cheap home depot socket sometime it will break on you. I did it with craftsman and it really works well. Takes a little oomph!

There is always a way to remove wheel locks. If you go to the snap on truck or even harbor freight, they sell wheel lock remover in a set. The wheel locks are there to stop casual thiefs and kids, but a real thief will take your wheels in less than 5 minutes if they wanted to.
