Best set of coilovers?

So I was wondering what are the best in your guys opinion for street/track day appilications? I want to have some of the comfortability but I want the thing to handle like no other. I was thinking along the lines of Tein. But just thought I get some info on what you guys think. So bad good about whatever product would be appreciated. Thanks!

Comfort and handling like no other aint gonna happen on the evo. I have had my tein flexes with edfc for 4 1/2 years. Prob 60,000 on them. They still dont need to be rebuilt. Want longevity go tein.

I disagree with dafarmer.

Comfort and handling is possible with quality European coilovers like KW, Ohlins, AST, Bilstein, etc. You usually do pay more, although Bilstein PSS9's were under 2k, and the new PSS10's will be as well.

Japanese and Chinese coilovers generally are not known for comfort. I do like Cuscos, but they aren't rebuildable in the US, which kind of limits yourself.

European coilovers generally have more travel and more advanced valving that allows them to handle well and ride smoothly with the same or stiffer spring rates.

There's also a TON of threads on this topic. Unfortunately a lot of them are filled with opinions that are not based on experience.

This thread is good if you are serious about the track:

Also, a lot of people have been going with quality springs like Swift or our GTWorx springs and Bilstein HD dampers with swaybars. Great ride quality, pretty good improvement in handling, and relatively inexpensive. A good solution if you daily drive your car and don't want to bother with coilovers.

And i don't mean to come across with any sort of tone, but there is a lot of discussion on this topic. Suspensions are very complicated systems and a lot IS possible if you put a good amount of effort into it, including great handling with great ride quality.

Some shops DO put a lot of work into it, like Robi, ZZYZX, *cough* GTWorx, and others. Some shops spend a lot of time on power, others spend their time on suspension. Listen to them. They know what works.

Haha, thanks so far guys appreciate all the info back! Keep it coming guys I do DD my evo but I want it to handle like no other. suspension is just as big of a key as is horsepower if not even more. cause even drag/track day cars need the suspension to be perfect in order for them to use what ever hp they use sufficiently

Biltsteins have my vote. They rode the best for a street car and I have driven a lot of different setups.

i don't know how well they would be on the street since they are more of a true track suspension but each to his own. I had the buddy club racing coilovers and I thought they were superb
