Talking Fixed Sqealing Hawk brake pads

So after a month of ungodly squealing from my HPS ceramic pads a friend of mine recommended CRC De-Squeak, so I figured I'll do anything to stop sounding like a damn school bus stopping. Only used a small amount and haven't had not one squeal since. I know alot of guys will probably say it will wear off and start again, but for now and going on 2 weeks I haven't had no noise what so ever. Great product in my book!

Did you pray it directly on the pads and rotors, or just the rotors? I guess my question do i have to pull off the pads iam lazy, lol. My endless pads squeal so bad it makes me want to drive the car off a cliff.

If you are really lazy you can just spray it on with the wheel on, but you wont get the inside of the rotor, so I pulled the wheel off and sprayed both side. Works great!!

I always thought the same but after using this stuff I'm sold, you don't HAVE to have squeaking brakes to have good stopping power. My Hawk pads sounded like a school bus, after useing the CRC I haven't a not one squeak. Just try it, worst case it won't work and you'll be out 3 bux.

Have you seen SMIKEVO thread about them? I ran the same HAWK pads for 4 years now and I still hate them but for DD they do the job. There are much better pads out there for the same price.

BTW, you guys realize this thread is 2 years old right?

Try a good bed-in on your pads if you want to get rid of noise. I was actually using Hawk HPS in this video: http://www.essexparts.com/learning-c...rs/post/Bed-in
