Rear wheels rubbing actual wheel well

Im lowered on Buddy club RSD's and just recently put on some Work Emotion xd-9's 18x9 w/ 245/40/18 and im rubbing over hard bumps. i got the fenders rolled and now its rubbing the actually wheel well. the front and rear has a 1 1/2 finger gap with 10 in the front and 12 in the rear.

my friends are telling me to get smaller sidewalls but i just bought these tires and they also said i could possibly camber it a little bit.

its rubbing near the rear doors...

the thing that puzzles me is that iv seen slammed evos with wide rims and no clearance issues.

any input would be nice...thanks guys!

That's weird - looking through this thread it doesn't look like it should be that big of a problem.

Especially with a 30 offset...I know a 20 you would probably have an even bigger problem.

thats what i thought too... its only when im carrying passengers or on big bumps. my buddy is running the same with a +29 offset and no problems.

its so frigging loud when it rubs. i really dont want to raise my car anymore.

can you camber the rear without modification?

Sounds like your shocks are either blown or getting there. I ran a 18x9+30 and had no problems at all, the tires were 245/40/18 on Hotchkis springs and stock shocks. Even with a full load of people and supplies in the trunk, the only thing that we would here is the scraping of the exhaust on BIG bumps.

You need to examine the wheel well area for rub marks to see exactly where it is rubbing. Only then will you be able to fix the problem.

Once you find where it's rubbing, if you can't figure out how to fix the problem post up a pic of the problem area and we will help. . .

BTW, I run 285's on 18x10's all around with the car slammed with NO rubbing ever. . .

its in the wheel well part close to the rear doors on both sides...like real close. if i were to dent it in with a hammer, the rear doors wont be able to close and open

The exact spot it's rubbing. I think i have an idea where you described, but not sure.

If it's where I'm thinking your options are:
- shorter tires (yours are a bit taller than stock)
- stiffer springs
- raise rear end
- skinnier friends
- possibly more camber (depending on where it's set now)
