Something tells me I need a brake upgrade. Take a look.
Well after 2 track days I have done a good bit of wear/dammage to my brakes. No more pretty red calipers. They were in perfect condition prior to going to the track. It's a good thing I upgraded what I did before I went. I swapped out the pads with Ferrodo DS2500's, SS lines, & Motul fluid before going out. I started to notice a little brake fade twards the mid/end of the sessions, but never any brake failure. I guess I'll have to save for a BBK if I'm gonna keep tracking it. Heres a few pics.

It was well worth it. Now I have to decide whether to go ahead & save for the BBK or just go ahead & replace the rotors for now. They stop fine but are noisy as hell now.

Yup. I took the Evo to Barber 2 weeks ago. That was the first time I had it on a track. they were fine after that. Then I went to TGPR this past weekend & was very hard on the brakes.

These look to be very nice & not as expensive as the others out there.

What's not recomended? The pads are still 30-40% there. It looks like either there is a laye of pad material glazed to the surface of the rotor that is starting to come off or the rotor is starting to chip. There's nothing wrong with the pads.

I think I'll try the Carbotech pads for track only duty & get better rotors. I have to keep in mind that I'll need to upgrade the wheels if I do a BBK, so that adds to the overall cost. Have't had a chance to look into a good set of rotors yet so I'm not sure which ones. I know the 2 piece rotors are expensive so I'll most likely stay with good 1 piece rotors. It will be a while before I do another track day so I have time to figure it out or save up either way. What I have now is plenty for the street. I do need to flush the fluid again though.
