suspension setup???

I have installed a set of KW Club sport + the WP front roll kit + rear sway bar on my evo IX. Where I live roads are definitely not perfect so at high speeds the car is extremely nervous. At the track it is great but on the not so smooth roads it is scary, it is a nervous car. The coilovers were sent to me corner weighted and set to my cars weight so I guess it must be the rebound setting. What do you guys think?

I was guessing toe but it seems you have that sorted out.

I tried loosening rebound and it makes it better. Probably loosen it some more and see what happens.

I don't understand how they were sent to you corner weighted every car is slightly diffrent.. Thats the reason you put the car on scales and corner weigh each corner. I would look into your caster settings. For a street car with some track duty 4-5 front caster and 4-6 rear caster would be ideal. This will help stabilize the car under breaking and in transition and straight line performance. Double check the caster settings but I'm pretty sure thats correct. I would also run 2 deg of camber instead of 3 this could help you on the city roads and make your car feel less scary or squimish on bumpy roads.

Caster, from what I understand, is non-adjustable on our cars.

In my experience, I went from a stock suspension to a nice revalved Bilstein PSS9 w/ 12k/16k springs, -3 camber front, and similar toe to what you're running.

I bought this setup to work with 285/30/18 R Compounds, and -3 degrees of camber is minimum to fit these beasts under the fender.

Conversely, the -3 camber on the stock 235 tires i used driving the car around town felt way too excessive. It just is way too much camber to run on this small tire, and the car did not feel great at all, though I wouldn't describe my car as feeling nervous. I have since upgraded to 265/35/18 tires for street duty which handles the camber much better, however if I stuck with the 235 tires for street duty, i'd put the camber back to -1.5 front. The -3 degrees robi uses most likely is suited for combining his suspension package with the 285/30/18 r-compounds. If you're never going to use 285's, dial out some camber, which may help your car feel much more confident.

If you are already using big fat wide tires, ignore my post

You must have a special Evo in order to be able to adjust, or even measure, rear caster...that's interesting.

Before the OP gets too confused I suggest you call or email Robi...access to the real deal info is what you paid for...

However, less front camber and some toe-in in the front and rear within stock toe specs should take away all of that nervousness.

I never said I actually changed rear or front caster. I simply said IT IS a typical cause for a nervous feeling car and to look into. Thanks for the smart a$$ remark though.

Thanks for all your imput. I am using 255 40 17 so as you all say probably a little less camber will be ok for the street and I could always go back to -3 for track days. Thanks again.
