So I'm wondering what you guys think.

I have seen cars come through my repair shop time after time. AWD Audi's with 3-6/32 difference in tread depth just due to the way the car drove. Many other vehicles also. I have never had a problem with one of those leaving and having a diff or tranny go bad. The wrong size tire on the other hand, yes.

I have two new Blizzaks WS-50's and two lightly used at 9/32. New are at 12/32. It comes down to being about 1/8 inch or .5% difference in overall height. This is the equivalent of forgetting to rotate your tires a little too long.

I rather not buy 4 brand new tires at $180/each.


Would you guys run these tires the way they are?


If so, which drive wheels would you put the worn ones on to wear them down the quickest? (I drive mildly on a day to day basis).
