I'm buying some enkie wheels for my car 17x8 with some 215/45/17 tires which are recommended by tire rack. I buying the wheels from discount tires and the guy that works day says that I need 225/45/17 . Also the 215 weight 18lbs and 225 weight 21lbs 3lbs is a lot of weight . Do you think they will be fine? Do you know of any other lighter wheel or tire on that size? I'm switching from OZ ultraleggeras 18x8 it will be about a 40lb total weight savings .

stock evo wheels are 17x8 and come equipped with 235/45/17 and i see that you drive wrx and i know the 17x8 bbs on the sti's come equipped with 225/45/17, so i would say go with the 225's,the 215's might be a little skinny unless you are going for the stretched looked, just my .02
