Stock brake shims not fit on Autozone pads?

I recently had the Autozone brake pads installed in the Front and Rear and for some reason the shop said the stock brake shims don't fit, probably because they come preshimmed no?

But in any case, the car squeals SOOO Mmuch, it's incredibly annoying and really really loud. I've never heard/experienced anything like this ever.

Is there any solution to this?

Autozone pads should come with their own shims.

Then why would they still squeal so horrifically?

Any other pad recommendations then? Maybe Hawk HPS?

Definitely not the HPS's - by far the worse pad I have run on my Evo.

I would look into the Satisfied GranSport GS5's or GS6's, GiroDisc Magic's, or Performance Friction Z's.

you should still use the stock shims on the outside of the new shimes. if they don't fit use only the stock shims. Clean everything, use copper antiseize to lube and get some decent pads. I like the ferodo ds2500. For me it was a toss up between them and the gs5/gs6.

Girodisc Magic or RacingBrake ET300 for a quiet, low-dust, street pad.

Yeah, they have solid stopping power just squeal like a mother...

I'll look into some girodisc magic

Can I just take out the old and slap in the new and roll? Or will I need to bed the breaks again?
