Order of stiffness (stiff to soft): KYB, HD, MR.

Swift designed an MR spring for the CT9A (only a 50lb difference at the starting rate) due to the MR's slight valving differences.

 

Thats not the USDM 'MR' trim level.

IX MR is a '9.5' elsewhere, pretty much a generation slotted between IX and X, produced in 2007. They came with Eibach springs, but I am not sure if they are identical to the pro models you are talking about.

 

I would like to see spring comparison on the swifts and eibachs. I tried searching to see how much of a drop on stock wheels would look.

Smikeevo- so you are saying MR model shocks and eibachs as a set up will be very soft?
What would be the best set up for daily driving?

I just want to lower the car a bit and still have the OEM feel as it was before.

 

Comparison of Swifts to Eibachs?

They don't really compare - E are softer than stock and lower the car (they are progressive but what is the initial and final rates?). Performance wise - thats not good.

Eibach Pro-Kit:**....165lbs(2.9k)....140lbs(2.5k)....1.2f / 1.2r
Stock(USDM):..........180lbs(3.2k)....225lbs(4.0k) ......STOCK

My favorite straight DD is the MR's untouched. If you want to lower it, the Swifts are very comfortable around town and they handle great.

 

Great I have cusco coilovers on my rx7 and the ride is stiff i can literally feel every crack on the road so I dont want that on my daily driver. I will check in to the swift springs man thanks alot.

Oh forgot one more swift srings on stock bihlsteins or evo 8 shock will work fine it wont blow them right?

i went from eibachs to swifts, the swifts have way more forgiveness to them.

 

Thanks I wonder how much abuse these shocks wil take if you can swap lowering spings and they dont blow

 

How low they are and the spring rate used goes a long way here.

I have 25k on my HD's and Swifts.

 

I will be doing mostly every day commuting with my evo. I might race it at a future buttonwillow open class.

But you been more than helpfull man, i didnt want to blow my shocks with only 34k miles
