SSR Type C RS - Fitment/Pic-request

I'm interested in picking up these wheels:

SSR Type C RS (Gunmetal)

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...racite+Painted

I am running Swift Sport Springs.

I do not want to roll/pull fenders. I also do not want to rub when having people in the car.

Does anyone run these? Could you post your experience and possibly a pic? These would be going on a GG IX.

I am thinking 18x8.5 +33. Available sizes are here: http://www.ssr-wheels.com/wheels/typec_171819.asp I *think* those would clear the brakes and not give me rubbing/fitment issues. I am not positive though. Anyone know for sure what sizes/offsets will fit w/o issues?

Not sure what size rubber I'd run. I am initially thinking 255/35-18 as I want to run 255's and that would be the closest rolling diameter to stock according to my calculation. I would also consider 245/40-18 and 245/35-18. My main concern is the wheel size/offset for now.

Lastly, anyone know of any good deals running on these? List price is quite a bit more than I can justify.

255/35-18 would be a good size to use. We carry them, just not in a 33mm offset. Closest 18x8.5 in a 5-114 we have has a 41mm offset.

Check out this wheel in an 18 x 9.5 +36 offset with 265/35R18. This is the perfect tire to match the diameter of the stock set-up. These wheels weigh 18.5lbs and should clear all around without problems. Check into this offset working with the Evo though, in reference to clearing the calipers.

Will the +41 clear the brakes and not cause any rubbing issues? Do you provide discounts to evom members? Thanks!

I think a 9.5 in wide wheel will require at least fender rolling? I would really like to avoid modifying my fenders in anyway and would not like to worry about rubbing issues. Stock is 17x8 I believe.

Also, should have mentioned this... this is a year-round daily driver that will be autox'd occasionally. i think 265 might be too aggressive for a DD, no?

Majority of fitments were discont by SSR once they went under. Tanabe hasn't made any plans as of now to bring back any of the semi solid forged wheels currently being discon. I wanted them for my A4 also so I feel your pain.
