I think that's definitely a good idea. I just have to build my posts up to post in the FS/WTD forum.

I tend to agree that the KYBs are crap. I mean after only 40k, that sucks. If I am going to go the used route I would prefer to buy an entire set of front and rear MR struts and shocks with MR springs and just swap it all out at one time.

worst case I guess I can wait for the new Bilsteins to arrive and hope my suspension doesn't get any worse. No corners for me for now

No you don't. You can PM members if they have some for sale.

Well, with the current state of US roads right now, I am not surprised to see failed struts.

I would get a low miles set of MR's. And the MR springs are the same as the KYB springs. Only the strut valving is different.

They don't. But should be back in stock mid March.

BTW. SmikeEvo, do you know what the F4-VE3-B843-H1 are?

I'm curious too. It's sounding like this was a pre-sale, so I will be waiting for a while. If they did change them then maybe I will get the H1 since the H0s are out of stock everywhere.

Used equipment is out of the question unfortunately, my wife is too worried about buying used and having it break. I agree with her so I will be waiting. I won't touch KYB ever again.

These are HEAVY DUTY, aren't the one fitted on the MR's SPORT valving, Bilstein main offices are in North Carolina and California.

H0 and H1's, I believe they changed the valving a little between the two and the lower mounting bracket. But I am not 100% on what is different.

You should call GTWorx: 410-579-1501, they're the ones that informed me about them.

An update. Of course I still don't have my struts (not surprised) so I am still waiting. I asked about getting the H1s instead of the H0s from the eBay vendor and I'm not getting responses anymore. I guess I will be waiting until the end of the month to get my struts.

What about these guys?
http://shox.com/ They are a decent sized distributor and I have used them in the past to buy stuff. I drive a little to one of their warehouses and pick up da goods. They list the HD's not sure which one or if they have them in stock.

To the OP sorry to hear you ahve to wait so long.

PS what about buying used and send them to Bilstein for revalving/refurbishing?

I have an old Porsche and Bilstein rebuilt my shocks and revalved them to be better than new/stock.

why don't you just send it straight to Bilstein, don't even bother sending it to Anderson (owner of shox.com used to be RD enterprises) because thats what he will do. 'avoid the middleman'

I think by the time I buy a set of used ones and then get them re-valved I would have spent the same amount of money for new ones. I've waited this long so I guess I should wait some more. I have thought about it and I could get the OE KYBs quicker but I would spend more and I don't trust them.

I am going to call Bilstein on Monday and ask about the H0 vs the H1. Are they going to make both? If not I don't want to buy the old part. Plus I plan on getting rears as well, I would like to have the same end part #. Maybe it wouldn't be an issue, who knows. I will call and find out.

How much does revalving generally run from Bilstein? I have 45k on mine now and it might be nice to know in the future.
