Found a source for HD Bilsteins

HD Bilsteins on eBay

Says they are brand new. I ordered a set for mine. Hopefully this isn't a pre-sale

This is for the fronts. They have the rears in their store. I'm going to buy a set of the rears later.

Um...misspelled words and they could just be drop shippers -- so they ship from Bilstein when they are made.

Well that's just great. I tell you this car is a major pain to get parts for...

Worst case I get my money back, it says it will ship by March the 4th.

Why not just buy from a known good board sponsor shop like MAP, GTWorx, or TireRack? I know MAP price-matches all competitors, including eBay sellers.

How is your Evo a pain to get parts for? A little research an this fine forum and I've found everything I've ever wanted and a wishlist a mile long.

I should have been more specific... trying to find front struts is a major pain

None of the sponsored shops sell front struts. From what I can see only Bilstein and KYB(?) as an OE product are available. You can't buy direct from KYB, they don't list front struts on their website so you have to buy from the dealer. I've done searching on Google and all I typically find are strut bars LOL

I'm surprised I haven't found an online retailer that stocks the OE parts. Anyone have a part number I can search off of?

Hey Mataevo,

Let me know how it goes once on hand. I was looking at his store on ebay and i was inquiring if i should buy the Strut from him. I'll be waiting on your feedback.

Also I spoke with GTWORX and they only sell F4-VE3-B843-H0, but they recommend that you get the new improve model which is F4-VE3-B843-H1. happymotoringstore <---The same guy is selling them, here's the link.

Incorrect, GTWorx, TireRack, MAP - all major shops, sell the HD's. I got mine from GTWorx.

But do they have them in stock? That's all that counts.

Right now, no one does. Bilstein needs to first make them.

BTW I'm not doing this as an upgrade, I'm trying to fix a set of bad struts. Otherwise I wouldn't be in a rush to find something.

Here's another question, knowing my struts are bad would you guys ride on them until April when they are available? I know I can get a set of OE struts from the dealer for $287 each but would it be worth it to wait?

I'll definitely let you know. I should have posted some more questions here before buying but I was afraid of getting the typical "search the forums" answer.

I went directly to Bilstein's website and that is how I got the part number for the older model HD strut. I guess they are too new to list the new part number.

Yup I have definitely read that here before on another thread. That's why I was excited when I found the eBay seller. They listed a March 4th ship date so I thought I found something. It wasn't until after I confirmed my order that I saw they are quoting an 11-16 business day shipping timeframe.

Maybe I can win the lottery and afford the PSS9's

Get a set of used KYB's or Bilstein MR's from the For Sale forum.

This is what I would do... you can get a used set of KYB's with springs for like $150. I would never buy them from the dealer, the orig KYB's are crap in my opinion anyways. Buy a set of used MR Bilsteins, thats what I did.
