Question for Suspension Guru

Hey guys I want to do some road racing this summer along with drag racing. I want to know what I should buy next for suspension/handling.

MODS

JIC Fla'2s 12 position
Hotchkis rear sway 3 way adjustable.( I have no clue which position to use.)
Front Black 2 way adjustable sway bar (no clue what brand or what position to use)
Custom brace/caged trunk
Stock front strut brace
1/2 spacers on front hubs 3/8'' on rear hubs
Rear wheel well lip cut out and rolled
Stock wheels with 245 45 17 Fusion tires( I know they wont work well for road racing)

What parts in order should I buy that will help? I dont want to buy parts that wont help... Thanks for you time

Also engine is built with Borgwarner s256 450+ hp

Not sure why you have big old spacers on the stock wheels but I would be careful with that if you are using stock lugs.

Do you know the springrates on the coilovers? You would want something that has the correct motion ratio...say 8kF and 10kR is a good starting point. I would start off with putting the RSB is the least agressive setting or the middle to start out with. Dial in from there. Tires would be the first thing to ditch. I would go 245/40 or 255/40 and buy some decent tires for that amount of power. Good alignment and if you can get corner balanced. You have decent parts just spend the $$ to get it properly setup and it should work well.

Tires and brakes. You don't want to hit a road course without at least some track worthy brakes(pads/lines/fluid/cooling) and tires. If you're not going with a set of dedicated track wheels and tires get some sticky street tires. The z1 star specs are sticky, cheap and last long enough to do the job; if not there is a close out on the old Stones but I don't know how much is left since everyone is jumping on it.

+1

It's brakes, tires, and driving that you should be worrying about.

Although i might set your swaybars to soft and leave them there for now. And what's your alignment like?

Should I ditch the wheel spacers? I have wider fenders in front.. I will buy ss brake lines/pads and fluid I may be able to fab up some cooling for the brakes. I will get some good tires right away. I know my alignment is screwed up can anyone tell me what settings it should be set at? I think I have the Pillow mount setting set at 0 But can tell it was in the Neg- befor I bought the car. so sway bar end links help? or all new bushings? thanks guys for the help

0 toe front and rear.

go for -1.5 camber in the rear. -2.0 to -2.5 up front. i would definitely get an alignment before your track day.

Actually, probably a little toe out up front.

On top of tires and brakes, a driving class will give you more improvement than anything else.
