Does anyone run 255/40/18's? I know I should be on 255/35/18's but I've got really crappy roads and could use the extra sidewall. I'm lowered on Swift springs so not much of a drop really and I figure I could stand to lose some wheel gap. Wheel specs are 18x9.5 +20 front and +30 rear. Rear fenders are lightly rolled.

 

I had a set of Toyo T1R in 255/40/18 on Enkei NT03 18x8.5 rims. Tires came with the rims of which I bought used locally. The tires were didnt have meaty sidewalls. So with a 9.5" wide rim, you will probably get a stretched look with 255/40/18.

 

Maybe do a 265/35?

Lowered at all? Any rubbing? I think they might rub on my +20 fronts against the strut or fender.

 

no rubbing, lowered on tien coilovers.
just rolled in the rear.

 

Here's a pic of a car with the same wheels and suspension as me. Think the 255/40/18 will fit and fill up some of that nasty wheel gap as well?

I just put some 255-40-18 tires on and the fronts rub agaist the back of the fender liner and sideskirt when I turn. The rims are Rota SVN not sure on the offset or if it would even matter. It looks to me like regaurdless off how far spaced in or out they are they would still rub back there.
