Info on form and function coilovers!
I have an offer to get a set of form and fucntion coils for $200 plus trade for my oem set-up.I guess one rear coil is blown and will cost $100 to fix.I have searched all over the web and cant even find them for an evo.So far only for hondas.I dont know if they are type1,2 or 3.Please give me any info you have on these and let me know if you think its worth it.thank you!
Three strikes...
1) too cheap to be good. Cheap coilovers are around $1K, decent coilovers start at 2K, good ones start at $3K and go up to about $5K.
2) I've never heard of them. The only ones you found were made for Hondas? Yeah, do they sell them at autozone next to the racing pedals and chrome fender vents?
3) If someone is willing to take your OEM shocks for those, they must really suck bad. Why wouldn't he just fix them and keep them if they are better than OEM?
Just my 2 cents.

well, i have met the guy.He is trading his car in thats why he wants stock stuff. Its also his third evo so he is no stranger to modding them.I already got bad *** ssr wheels from him for super cheap.Another thing is his evo is bad a$$.has all kinds of straight from japan,6 month wait kinda stuff on it.Stuff i dont care about but all these jdm weirdos have to have.He als has cams for $300 for the intake exhause and 2 aem cam gears,a full injen kit including the intercooler for $250 plus stock.he dont care about the money so him selling them to me cheap dont make me think they suck.the ones for hondas are about 1200$
Well then maybe they are just a great deal then. But if they are that hard to get then they might be that hard to fix or replace. Like I said, I've never heard of them. But I guess that doesn't mean too much. I suppose I'm not going to be of much help here.
Good luck.
Good luck.

IF you can't get on the phone with anyone form the company that sells them, take that as a sign. You do NOT want to be stuck with a BLOWN set of coilovers that you can't fix.

It seems apparant no one has heard of them, are you trying to get us to approve the sale for you? If you think it's a good deal then get them, but the fact remains, the set has a blown strut, and what is to say the others won't blow just the same. Even for 200 bucks, is it worth the trouble and are replacements even worth it, or even possible to get on a daily basis without hassle? Good luck!
