Which Spring

I have an 03 Evo with 42,000 miles, stock struts, and I am wondering which would be best mainly street use and some what track? Would be nice to have some what of an even drop as well maybe a little more in the front. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I don't want springs that are way low in the front due to the fact the headlight beams shine down into the ground and not further in the distance. I have had close encounters with animals and need *** much light as possible my eyes aren't what they use to be even with glasses on. And information would really help me out.

I've heard Swift springs are pretty good.

I've personally used gtworx springs and they are excellent. Gives the car almost no drop but much handling on the autocross and road course.

Nice link there.

Please search and read up on: Swift Sports and SpecRs, GTWorx, and Robispec.

And secondly, you can adjust your headlights up some via the beam adjustment.

Our springs were designed for performance first, which meant we stuck with a mild drop of 20mm front and 15mm rear. After seeing almost every other spring out there lower the car too much and the resulting loss in suspension travel and ruined suspension geometry, we're very happy with our GTWORX springs. the milder drop also means you get pretty good ride quality.

check our latest for sale thread for pics. they DO still look good, but they are not slammed.

from everything i had read and seen the swifts have very good reviews from the street to autox to moderate track days. they seem to have a better ride, drop, handling, and they are made to be stronger and lighter than most other options. they are a little more expensive than most others but usually you get what you pay for...

research them swift sport or swift spec r...... good luck

You can adjust them so they'll go higher than the stock settings. I can almost use mine as high beams on the highest setting, but I keep them on level 1 or 2. Search for "HID adjustment" and you'll get lots of posts with several different methods.

As for the springs, I'm happy with my Swift sports.

I would def. recommend the swift springs, great reviews on this forum and all the forums we sponsor and local customers as well. Then a set of bilstein and you're good to go for street/ light track usage.

I appreciate the info from everyone. Does anyone know where I can buy the springs the cheapest and maybe a used pair of bilsteins at a decent price?
