If that happened to me I wouldn't sleep until I had K-sport pay for ALL of the damages. They would be very lucky to get off that easy and have such minimal damages to pay for when you could have pretty easily lost your life had the circumstances been slightly different. Don't take no for an answer. That is completely unacceptable. What if you had a kid(s) in the car?

Glad to see your okay. Keep us posted on how KS handles the situation.

I'm really glad no one was hurt, as that's not good for anyone. Seriously, it does take some skill to keep it all together going 55 mph, so good job there.

To answer your question, no this does not happen with most coilovers. I've seen it happen with a small number of them.

Thanks and i will be in the market for some new suspension soon

The fluid is the shock oil. The brake lines look ok and the brakes still work.

Phew, glad you are ok.

I just swapped out my "cheapo" coilovers and returned to KYB/Swift combo. After seeing this, it makes me feel a lot more comfortable, I'm sure I made the correct choice.

OK i called today and they are sending me a replacement strut for the 1 that broke and a brand new revised set. This way i can sell 1 set and keep the cash and he is gonna get back to me on whether or not he can also cut me a check to help cover the damage. Now i just want to say they are really nice to deal with. I know i could have got more out of them but i just wanted my car fixed and fixed quickly.

Interesting. If it was me I would send you out a new set and ask you to send all of the old ones back in to test, or if you aren't going to test them at least to make sure that this doesn't happen again in the case that another one of the set is defective.

I would still push to have them replace your lip and your fender liner, I believe that would be a smart move by them for PR and to avoid a lawsuit. It is good to hear that they have been initially cooperative. It is creepy to hear your daughter was just in the car and the way it broke, it could have happened at any time under any circumstance.

GL, hope you get it covered. Give me a reason to go with stock suspension and upgrade springs instead of coil.

They don't want them back cause they already totally revised them.

Not all coils are designed and engineered the same...
