Has anyone seen this before???????
yea thats pretty rediculous i would be very angry to say the least hopefully they pay for the damages and i would send the junk set thats on the car back so this doesnt happen to someone else
OK i called today and they are sending me a replacement strut for the 1 that broke and a brand new revised set. This way i can sell 1 set and keep the cash and he is gonna get back to me on whether or not he can also cut me a check to help cover the damage. Now i just want to say they are really nice to deal with. I know i could have got more out of them but i just wanted my car fixed and fixed quickly.
Ran across this thread and thought I would post on it.
It is very unfortunate when things like this happen on any part of anyone’s car. Yes supercharged was very upset with us which we completely understand and hopefully we are coming to a satisfactory outcome with him. We cannot say its a product defect or failed due to impact or accident until it is back here and tested. Out of the thousands of kits we produce each year this is an isolated problem so it is far from a quality issue with the product. We hold the steel manufacturers, rubber manufacturers, and other component manufacturers to strict guidelines for quality and we do everything to ensure it is met. To say this is common is far from the truth with our products. In fact I would say it’s more common with other brands than with our brand. Our products have strict manufacturing guidelines to qualify for TUV and ISO9001 approval. We cannot produce an inferior product and have it pass their rigid guidelines for quality and safety.
As we repair other brands of shocks here as well as many do not have a shock dyno nor repair facilities at their US locations we do see this with the “name brand” shocks that many claim are the best. This can and does happen with any brand of suspension.

man that is really scary! I am happy i decided to stick witha simple strut/spring combo instead of coilovers. I am happy you and your family is ok and it is good to know that the company dealt with you correctly, unlike some other ******!

The thing that is retarded about this is that if they have a revised set out because of a defect, why not post something on the site that says if you have our old defective version of the coilovers please ship them back and we will give you a revised set. Sort of like a car manufacturer fixing defects.
