Running lower et wheels up front is one solution

What offsets are you guys running on your 9s and 9.5s to make them fit well?
I'm running 17x9.5's with a 35 offset and 255's and there's no rub at all with stock fenders and 15mm spacers in front. If you're up for rolling the fenders and stretching the tires I'm sure you could get away with something like an offset of 20 with 235 or 245 tires. Keep in mind that stock the Evo's front fenders have more clearance than the rears.

same size tires, same size wheels
if you want to mess with anything at all, do it with the offset. Even that I'll just buy me all the same offset wheels and then use spacer to move them out. They'll be a lot easier to sell when it's time for something new.

Yeah i would agree but having the same tire wheel combo and then putting spacer son one od of the vehicle does have the potential to creat more wear on the bearings ans usepnsion on that one end due to the moment arm ( longer ) from the vehicle centerline.

for me i stick with the Factory BBS and same sizes all around, and I rotate tires every 3000 miles.

Actually its everything to do with rice, All for looks not function. Historically this is a sub-forum for handling and performance, show n shine is for this crap. We don't go there and would be ecstatic if the herra-frushhrhhrh crew would stay out of here.

My original post wasn't directed at your post, it was this thread in general. About your original question, no you cant. The "series" is directly releated to sidewall height. 45 series 245 will have (0.45*245) = 110.25mm side wall height and the 255 will be 114.75mm. That stacks on both side of the tire so overall diameter difference is 9mm.

Wheel width has very little effect on tire diameter but rated tire width with the same aspect ratio will definitely have different diameters.

Thank you!! Ok so i guess gonna run 255's right around. Problem is with roads in Trinidad and sports suspension the car tracks all over the lanes due to wavy rds. 245's work ok. I really feel we hire children to engineer rd repair. And to think we own a pitch lake...sigh.
