tire size and pressure

hi everyone our stock size is 235/45/17 if i go for 235/40/17 what would be the difference and tire presure for stock size i think front 32 rear 28 what would be the tire pressure for 235/40/17

Exactly the same pressure you ran as before. Yes you are lowering the sidewall which *should* make it stiffer, but you really shouldn't need to change the tire pressures any.

I personally raise the pressure a bit from factory to 33-35 front and 35-37 rear.

I would run 32 all around to start and tune from there for optimum feel. Don't exceed the tire's max max psi.

why would you want to run smaller size? it will change the speed if the over diameter is different from stock. and for tire preasure, it should be the same.

the difference is not that big, I would`n change for 235/40 you will lower you evo better to use 255/40

Actually, it will change it. Slightly better acceleration, with a 1 or 2 mph hit at the top of each gear.

Usually people do stuff like this for AutoX and then just raise the rev limiter to get the best of both worlds

thanks for all the input guys i live in bangladesh here i am not getting the stock size 235/45/17 here 235/40/17 is available and tire choice is also limited dunlop sp sport maxx and yokohoma s drive my ride is bone stock jdm ix gsr

But slower steering response. 255/40 can be heavier tires too.
