New rt-615 compound...
Interesting...so still a 200 tread wear rating just different compound...I just went through a set of the old rt615s...not a bad tire...gripped pretty decent at the 1/4...I had a good amount of 1.6 60 fts...For the street though, the tires wore out too fast for me, which would be expected with a 200 tread wear rating...Looking forward to results from the new ones...
well that article explaines why discount tires had another rt615 on there site.
but for real sense discount tires is giving an $80 rebate on the normal 615's it really makes buying the new version hard :-( if you get the 245/45/17 size after the rebate, each tire comes out to $106.
they sould have given the rebate to the new version to stir up some interest for people to test them
