Tire size help please! :)

Hi guys, I am currently running 17/9.5 inch Enkeis with Nitto Nt-01 245/45/17's. (Evo 8) I am looking for the best size for Daily Driving. Someone said go with 255/40/17, does that sound like a good reccomendation? Thanks so much!!! Sean

245's spread across a 9.5" is definitely a stretch. Nitto recommends a 7.5 - 9" rim according do their website.

Keep in mind, not all 245's are made even as I'm planning to put a 245/40-18 Hoosier across a 9.5" rim this year. But Hoosier recommends an 8-9.5" rims for their 245 (they run big). A 255 would be better; yes.

A 265 would be a great fit on the rims. But depending on your offset, fitment of that large a tire might cause some issues.

It may rub against the strut, that would be my concern.

I have 245s on my 9.5... and honestly, they're not a stretch. I had 225s and 235s on my 9.5 before also. And those were stretch especially the 225s... But 245s were barely stretch. And the ride was not bad too... it soaked up most of the bumps and what not.
