Anyone running 265-40-17 on a 9.5?
Recently picked up 18x9's with 255/35's, but I'm looking to go back to a 17" wheel.
I'll be doing 17x9.5 RPF1's, +18 front +38 rear and am just debating between a 255-40 or 265-40. I'm not too low and am running Robispec kw clubsports, so it's a stiff setup. Around -2 degrees up front and -1.5 in the rear, just wondering if I'm going to run into some major fender issues with a 265 or not. The rears will be rolled, but I don't want to have to pull at all.
Thanks. And if you have pics of a similar setup, please post up. I searched and only found most people running a 255.

Im running 18x9.5 +22 all around with 265-35-18 and my rears do NOT clear. I didnt just roll the fender, but cut everything out so there is no lip at all. Also cut out the bracket for the bumper and all that. At +38 you should be fine with a roll i think. My 17x8.5 +30 on 255-40 was ok with a roll.

I've got 255's on my 17x9.5" wheels with a +35 offset and 15mm spacer in front on Swift Spec R. Never rubbed one bit so I'm really tempted to try the 265 next time, I cant imagine needing any more than a mild rear fender roll.

When racing, a small difference in diameter can mean the difference between bouncing off of the rev limiter or not before entering a turn. Driving on the street, however the difference in diameter is pretty insignificant, 25.4" vs. 25" (1.6%) so at 65mph your speedo will read 66. Consider also the 9/32 tread depth of the stock tires, if you were to wear them down to 1/32 (extreme, but it's been done) they would be 24.9" diameter.
