245-45 vs 255-40

You can safely use 245 on 9" wheel, I just prefer not too. I have 255 on my 8.5" wheels and I think the fitment is perfect. I had 245's on my stock wheels and again, perfect in my opinion.

There are STU competitors running 245's on 10" wheels... ideal? not for daily driving.. but I've seen this setup be very quick for STU class SCCA competition (245 is tire width limit, no limit on WHEEL width).
Still 265's on a 17x9 +35 aren't an issue on oem struts, for the OP

Picture isn't better, but here's one of our locals that runs 17x10 with a 245 tire... oh by the way, paxed 1st overall at the event... and was just outside of trophies in STU at his first trip to nationals...
