Brake problem! plz help!

My 2006 evo ix just recently had new pads put on and they sqweeek! not everytime but about 1/4 of the time and it really sounds bad of course, when you roll up in an evo and the brakes are like "EEEEEEEEEEE!" its horrible and i cant figure out why they are doing it... any suggestions? it does it most only the front left but the other day i took the front drivers side apart and put them back together and it still does it somewhat but now it is on the passenger side and im trying to see if anyone has had the same problem or if it is something i did wrong? plz anything helps

Brakes!! Who uses brakes? Evos are meant to go fast PERIOD. lol

Did you do the brakes yourself? And if so did you put grease in the proper places?

Reuse the OEM shims. There are tire rotation arrows punched in them if you are not sure how they go on. Grease where the shims and caliper pistons meet.

The only thing i change was the pad and the little paper backing that goes on there. Is that the Shim? i know nothing about brakes as you can tell. Although as i have been driving i havent heard the brakes since the a day or 2 after i took my drivers apart and put it together so maybe the pad was just sitting slightly wrong and rubbing but with my luck it will come back

Those are terrible pads. And if you do not know about brakes, I strongly do not advise working on your own car. That is a safety measure. I recommend finding a good shop in your area, go in, talk with and watch the mechanic. Then next time, you will be more prepared to work on them.

Maybe you got it fixed.

The shims I was referring to are steel. I've had several sets of pads on my car and I have always reused these shims over whatever came on the replacement pads with good results.
