Coilover blown????

Ok, I bought my 03 evo 8 with a set of coilovers on it already. It has apexi exvs on it currently. The other day when I was coming home from work I noticed when I turned left, there was a scrubbing noise coming from the passenger side rear and hasnt gone away since then. Could my coilover be blown? If so whats the solution to my problem? This ruined one of my new potenzas on the fender and I really need to get it fixed somehow. Thanks in advance.

Just looked at the coilover and there is no fluid visible, any input?

How does the car feel? Floaty or bouncy at all? The coilovers could also just suck.

You might also try raising the car, but you'll need to get an alignment if you do that.

If they are blown, or you decide that they're just crappy coilovers, take them off the car and inspect. Sell them but note in your ad what's up with them.

they were fine until the other day when this started happening. Its the passenger rear. Other than that I love them. Is it possible that it somehow came loose?

Look at them...it will be obvious if they are loose.

and beyond that...despite what many say, internet diagnosis aren't the most accurate. Take your car to a mechanic/professional and have them look at it.

Like the question before. Has the ride softened at all since you got the car? Does that corner feel softer than the rest? If it was loose it would be making quite the ruckus. Also make sure the collars haven't come loose and backed their way down the strut. Just a few suggestions.

if you have a blown coil it wont necessarily make noise all the time. when i blew one of my JIC's it was really bouncy and had a lot of vibration. so much so that i broke 2 lug bolts. you will want to get it checked out right away if you suspect it being blown. a blown strut could end up costing you alot more money than you originally had anticipated if you dont take care of it.

The corner that its on allows the tire to scrub the fender when I hit a bump or turn. I checked the adjustments and the thread counts from the other coilover and they are the same. Nothing is loose. Idk anymore. I messaged apexi with no response. Ill try them again.
